My day: this on repeat for hours while writing in my actual paper-and-binding journal. Hey, a tumblr is for the internet, but a journal is forever.

Here’s the wallpaper I made in Photoshop for NaNoWriMo. My plot plan involves escape from a mind-prison for women. The size is a little awkward, though I’m not sure why since I did size the background to the dimensions of my screen (1200 x 800).

If the real world were an MMORPG...
…it would apparently get terrible reviews, according to this link, anyway.

I’ve been listening to this all day. It’s great for putting a peaceful little smile on my face and a bounce in my step.

Juri Zaech, a Swiss art director living & working in Paris, came up with the concept for these Write-a-Bikes and is now working on finding a way to make a prototype. How cool would it be to have a bike that spells out your own name?!?

This is basically how I envision myself. To do: find grey long-sleeved jumper.

Another inspiration board from Snippet & Ink. Kathryn Storke, the blogger behind all this amazingness, wrote that “this inspiration board is probably more appropriate for a Halloween party than a wedding”, but I disagree; for the more macabre-minded among us, a dark Victorian aesthetic would translate perfectly to an intriguing wedding theme.

I love the colors, prints, and bold ink… and the fresh beauty of a flapper, of course! (Plus, owls are totally rad.)

I just had my first phone interview.
Somehow I have made it almost all the way through college without ever needing a résumé or an interview for anything. I still don’t have a résumé. But I just had my first phone interview today. (Okay, technically I’ve had one before for my library job, but it was just a woman who called me “love” and it consisted of a single question: do you have work-study as part of your financial aid package?) I’m applying to be a volunteer at a hospital. I’m an excellent candidate, but interviews are just… nervewracking. I’m going to crawl back to bed now and hope they like me enough for (eeeek!) a face-to-face interview. Cripes.

Snippet & Ink: my favorite wedding blog, most especially for the incredible inspiration boards. Case in point: pink is my least favorite color, and I usually dislike overly feminine weddings, yet somehow this board is utterly irresistible.
